I spent New Years Day combing through Pinterest and sewing blog sites to come up with ideas of things to make. I wanted easy things, but useful things. For example I kept coming across folder clutches. A great way to learn sewing with zippers, however I would NEVER use one. Perhaps when I decide to start selling items I might attempt to make them, but for now I don’t think so.
So I came up with the following list:
- Scrap Bins / Storage Bins
- Skirt with Elastic waist
- Zippered Pouch
- Keyring Charms
- Sunglasses Case
- Hair Bow Barrette
- Throw Cushion Covers
- Microwave Bowl Potholders
All of these things were fairly simple to make, some more time consuming than others, but I thought why not give them a go. I made a list of supplies I needed (again), and off to Walmart I went. I still had to go to a specialist sewing store to get a few things, like interfacing and batting, but thats ok.
Let’s see how many of these things I can make on my adventure!
